Get On The Ball Two
DVD
Clean Run Productions LLC
Author: Dr. Debbie Gross Saunders Format: DVD Running Time: 3 Hours, 3 disc set Release Date: November 2009
Improve your Dog’s Core Strength,
Balance, Flexibility, and Endurance.
Whether you’re asking your dog to jump off the couch to go for a walk, compete in an agility event, lure course, herd livestock, or go for a hike, your dog needs the strength to perform the activity with as little risk of injury as possible. Many dogs are lacking strength in their core muscle group: the lower back and abdominals. In performance dogs we see many lower back problems, mid-back problems, and iliopsoas strains. In nonperformance dogs, the first place we see weakness as the dogs age is in the hind end and lower back. Working your dog on a Therapy Ball, EggBall, or PhysioRoll is an excellent and safe way to develop these muscles, which will aid in the reduction and prevention of problems.
But better core strength is only part of the benefit achieved from a regular workout on the ball. Ball work improves your dog’s balance and body awareness, increases his range of motion and flexibility, improves his reflexes, and leads to increased muscle tone and endurance. Ball work is an excellent crosstraining activity that you can do in the comfort
of your living room regardless of the weather.
This DVD provides four easy-to-follow programs: puppy, beginner, intermediate,
and advanced. Besides providing detailed demonstrations of each program with experienced dogs, the DVD also includes a seminar that Dr. Saunders held for ball work novices.

your dog from Debbie Gross Saunders, a certified canine rehabilitation
practitioner with over 13 years of experience. The Stretching
the Performance Dog DVD contains

Strengthening The Performance Dog
DVD
Clean Run Productions LLC Author: Debbie Gross Saunders Format: DVD, NTSC format Running Time: 41 minutes Release Date: 2006
Agility and other dog sports are wonderful for your dog, but
training for those sports by itself is not enough to ensure
your dog’s long-term health and
wellness or to keep him at his peak performance. Dogs participating
in performance sports require cross training activities, including
both a conditioning program and strengthening exercises. Doing
a variety of strengthening exercises will improve your dog’s
performance and, even more important, will protect him against
injuries.
Strengthening
The Performance Dog demonstrates and explains a variety
of strengthening exercises that should be part of your cross
training program outside of agility (or any other sport-specific
training). It includes exercises to improve jumping strength
and power, improve collection and turning ability, increase
forelimb and hind limb strength, improve balance, and increase
hind-end awareness. Many of the hind-end awareness and balance
exercises are appropriate even for puppies.
FitPAWS Donut A balance training tool for small dogs, or for dogs with hindlimb or forelimb issues. This also makes an excellent seat for the rehabilitation practitioner or owner while working on their dog!
Canine Physical Therapy The bible for the canine rehab practitioner.
A complete and comprehensive look at orthopedic physical therapy
and the canine. This 304 page textbook covers treatments and therapies for
dogs with genetic abnormalities, traumatic injury, geriatric weaknesses
as well as strengthening and stretching for the canine athlete.
This text is complete with illustrations
and color photographs. It is published in an easy to use spiral
binder format that can be conveniently placed on a desk or
table in the treatment room for easy hands-on reference.
For larger breed dogs or homes with multiple dogs, Glucosamine
Concentrate gives your pet all the benefits of our Glucosamine
Plus, but is priced less per dose.
ENP's Glucosamine Plus Concentrate
contains 5000 mg of Glucosamine and MSM per ounce!
Glucosamine Plus Concentrate also includes Chondroitin, Manganese,
Grape Seed Extract, Horsetail, Proline and Boron.
Glucosamine Concentrate allows you to give your pet a smaller
dose than our Glucosamine Plus so your bottle lasts longer!!
If you think your dog could use more than a little help with
their skin and coat, then you might consider ENP’s Joint,
Skin & Coat.
ENP's Joint, Skin and Coat formula is a full-strength joint
formula, comparable to Glucosamine Plus. But it also contains
a full-strength formula of special nutrients for the skin and
coat. These include Biotin, Vitamin E, Choline, Inositol, and
Essential Fatty Acids. Together, these nutrients promote healthy,
supple skin and a shiny coat. You might even find your dog
shedding less.
Many eye problems are related to nutritional deficiencies. Certain age-related vision problems can be compounded by reduced blood flow of nutrients to the eye. Now ENP’s Vision for Pets offers powerful protection for healthy eyesight.
If you decide to reduce your dog's dose of Glucosamine Plus as they begin to show signs of improvement, then you should consider switching them to ENP’s Multi-Vitamin with Joint Support.
It is a full-strength Multi-Vitamin with a lower dose of Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM. Taking a full dose of this product gives a dog the equivalent of about half of the Glucosamine Plus product plus a spectrum of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients for optimum health. The vitamins include Vitamins A, C, D the eyes, skin, nerves, and circulation. The minerals include Manganese, Selenium, Boron, and Zinc plus a full trace mineral complex. These minerals help ma dog's immune system, circulation, and bones. This Multi-Vitamin also has Essential Fatty Acids for the skin and coat, in case they need a little help there.
Schedule a phone consultation with Debbie and discuss physical issues the dog is having. Advice is offered on a current rehabilitation program, current fitness program or injury. This thirty minute consultation is invaluable to your dog!
